The twenty second session of Expo of Zhejiang (Hangzhou) Equipment Manufacturing Industry was held at Hangzhou International Expo Center from March 8-11, 2023, covering modern industrial high technology and equipment such as CNC machine tools, mold sector, industrial automation robots, and plastic machinery, among others. This was the first time for the Company to attend such kind of exhibitions, so we actively prepared exhibits.
We focused on the display of sealing rings for new energy compressors, resin friction plates for motors, resin bearing products for replacement of metal bearings, and reducer-related parts. These are the key areas of our product development.
The number of visitors was very impressive although the overall scale of the exhibition is not large. During the exhibition, we received and communicated with visitors from a total of 31 companies, of which nine are to be confirmed for subsequent development. In the future, we will successively participate in exhibitions in different regions and industries, in a move to find more new customers for Starlite.

Exhibition Report of 2023 Shenzhen Frankfurt Auto Parts and Accessories
The 2023 Shenzhen Frankfurt Auto Parts and Accessories Exhibition was held from February 14 to 18, 2023 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. This is also the first time the exhibition was held in Shenzhen. In 2023, China’s new energy vehicle production and sales would continue to maintain a momentum of rapid growth and it is imperative and unavoidable for the global automotive industry heading towards electrification transformation and development. Therefore, we have also actively participated in this exhibition in a targeted manner.
The exhibition focuses on such areas as the new ecology of intelligent networking, the “dual-carbon” strategy, the industrial chain and suppliers, covering seven major sectors: such as automotive parts and components; electronics and intelligent networking; way of travel in the future; automotive supplies, modification, diagnosis and repair/body and spraying, tires and wheels.
Particularly for this exhibition and in line with our future business direction, in addition to showing ordinary auto parts, we also specially displayed relevant components of the new energy automobile industry, such as new energy compressor seals, LED light switching-rod gears and other related components, as well as robot-related resin reducers, injection molded brake friction pads, etc., hoping to attract customers in new fields.
This exhibition is the first one after the epidemic was relieved. There was much increased number of exhibitors compared to that in the period of the epidemic. During this exhibition, we received a total of 53 enterprises, of which 17 are to be followed up as key potential. The attendance of this exhibition is a good start for our business development in 2023. The 2023 congratulatory ceremony was held at the Company on January 29. The recitation of “Starlite Heart” kicked off this year's New Year Celebration ceremony, full of sense of ritual.
The chairman far away in Japan, also expressed his Chinese New Year greetings to all of the employees via video, and he was deeply proud that the Company could still achieve the annual profit target in 2022 in spite of the epidemic lockdown in April and the rapid expansion of infections after the gradual liberalization at the end of December, thanks to all the employees working together to overcome such great difficulties, and he expressed his sincere gratitude to all the employees. The chairman also looked forward to 2023, which is the year of Guimao in Chinese lunar calendar system, meaning that previous efforts are beginning to bear fruit. Subsequently, the general manager also delivered a speech, in which, he elaborated on the Starlite Group’s future development strategy and its direction of material research and development. On Monday, November 28, 2022, the 2022 Release Meeting of Small Group Improvement Event was held. There were a total of 17 groups participated in this year’s Small Group Improvement Event at the beginning of this year. After efforts made by various groups and release and selection of candidates at the business department level, a total of seven groups were recommended to attend this company-level release meeting.
Before the official release, Mr. XU, deputy general manager of the company made an opening speech, congratulating that the 7 groups were able to stand out and participate in the finals, and affirming that through their joint efforts, the overall level of the small group improvement event had been improved. Following the intensive and wonderful release of various groups and the final assessment by the judge panel, it was determined that: the first prize went to the Mold Development Dept., the second prize went to Section 2 of the Finance & IT Planning and the third prize went to the Production Section 2 of High-performance Product Department. Finally, the general manager made detailed comments on each of the groups: the level of the small group improvement event had been improved, especially in the choices of topics, concerning cost improvement, quality improvement and others. On the morning of November 15, 2022, the first meeting of the Fifth Member Assembly and the first meeting of the fifth council of the Charity Federation of Kunshan were grandly held in the Kunshan Hotel. The Seventh Rope Jumping Competition was successfully held at the Company on the afternoon of November 7, 2022. Employees from various departments signed up their names for the competition. Each group consists of 15 persons, of which, female employees shall not be less than three. The rope jumping was specified in such a way that 13 of them are in rope skipping while two are to be throwing the rope.
Preparation for the competition began at the end of October, and employees of all business departments actively signed up. Everybody actively practiced in their spare time. Each group started from a few jumps, slowly gained more, until subsequently continuous dozens of jumps. They persisted in repeated practice, in an expectation of obtaining good results in the final competition.
Finally, the competition started smoothly under everyone’s expectation. The competition began with the first group as per the order of drawing result, with onlookers shouting and cheering, and they began to make a sound of amazement when the jumpers achieve continuous and synchronized jumps. If failed, everybody encouraged them by shouting cheer-up. The whole process was intense and yet orderly, exciting and inspiring. The “shoulder to shoulder” group of the High Performance won first place with astonishing 51 jumps, the “dynamic & energetic” group of the Fine Chemical won the second with 45 jumps, and the “advance bravely” group of the Fine Chemical finished the third with 37 jumps.
The general manager, deputy general manager and chairman of the trade union respectively awarded certificates and bonuses to the winning groups as encouragement. The general manager highly praised and affirmed the efforts of the winning groups in this competition, and also encouraged and recognized the active participation of the non-winning group members. Through this competition, the Company increases the active participation of employees and their determination to work together to achieve the company’s goal, and it is expected that everyone will maintain this team spirit and apply the same to our work.

Zhoushi Town’s Symposium of Concentration on Promoting Development and Enterprise Salon on the 50th Anniversary of Normalization of Sino-Japanese Diplomatic Relations was held in Minqi Commercial Building of Zhoushi Town at 14:00PM, September 29, 2022. Starlite was invited to attend the Salon as the first Japanese invested enterprise in the town.
The Company’s general manager as the representative of Japanese enterprises delivered a speech at the meeting, expressing that the 50th Anniversary of Normalization of Sino-Japanese Diplomatic Relations was a day well worth celebrating. In the past 50 years, the trade volume between China and Japan has grown to 391.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2021 from 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in 1972, an increase of 356 times. The 8th Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) was held at Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center from August 18 to 20, 2022. Focusing on the “Two Carbon” goal, the exhibition had seven featured-product areas set, such as “Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle”, “New Energy Smart Networking (inclusive of New Energy Vehicles)”, “Parts Procurement and Pairing”, “Warranty/Supply Chain and Terminal Chain Store”, “Supplies and Modification”, “Tire” and “Commercial Vehicles (Smart Logistics and Transport Vehicles)”.
This was the first exhibition attendance of Fine Chemical Department this year. The Company displayed various auto parts as required by the exhibition, especially some gear parts used in new energy motor vehicles, air-conditioning compressor parts, electrical contact parts and products made of Starlite self-developed friction materials, among others. They were all recognized by customers.
During the exhibition, we received a total of approximately 26 enterprises, of which 12 had the intention of further contacting and communicating. We need to focus on and confirm with them subsequently, especially regarding gears and products of friction materials. On the evening of July 22, 2022, the 4th summer festival was held on the Company's lawn. The participants were only corporate employees due to the influence of the pandemic, and the summer festival was formally started at 18:00 on the day. The festival was initiated with the dance “Happy Ballad” in a passionate atmosphere. Traffic safety education and learning campaign for all employees was implemented in July in a move to strengthen the employees’ safety awareness when commuting between the factory site and their home. This traffic safety education was conducted by separating employees into three batches. A police officer of the Zhoushi Traffic Police Squadron was specially invited to give an explanation of traffic-safety related things. He explained the difference between the swept paths of inner wheels when a truck is turning, the driver’s blind spot and the rider’s blind spot, and shared the real cases that happened around us. Each case was broken down in details, and the main reasons for each accident were found out, so that everyone could learn something from these examples for getting inspiration in their future outgoing.
Through this study, all people understand that as a traffic participant, we must abide by traffic laws and regulations, cross the road only at zebra crossings, do not go when in red lights, always pay attention to the surrounding environment at intersections, and fasten the seat belt regardless of whether in the front or rear row when driving / taking a car, so as to take the initiative to command the traffic safety in own hands.
