On the morning of November 15, 2022, the first meeting of the Fifth Member Assembly and the first meeting of the fifth council of the Charity Federation of Kunshan were grandly held in the Kunshan Hotel. Leaders from the municipal government, enterprises, district and town institutions as well as those keen in social charity were invited to attend the meetings. The Seventh Rope Jumping Competition was successfully held at the Company on the afternoon of November 7, 2022. Employees from various departments signed up their names for the competition. Each group consists of 15 persons, of which, female employees shall not be less than three. The rope jumping was specified in such a way that 13 of them are in rope skipping while two are to be throwing the rope.
Preparation for the competition began at the end of October, and employees of all business departments actively signed up. Everybody actively practiced in their spare time. Each group started from a few jumps, slowly gained more, until subsequently continuous dozens of jumps. They persisted in repeated practice, in an expectation of obtaining good results in the final competition.
Finally, the competition started smoothly under everyone’s expectation. The competition began with the first group as per the order of drawing result, with onlookers shouting and cheering, and they began to make a sound of amazement when the jumpers achieve continuous and synchronized jumps. If failed, everybody encouraged them by shouting cheer-up. The whole process was intense and yet orderly, exciting and inspiring. The “shoulder to shoulder” group of the High Performance won first place with astonishing 51 jumps, the “dynamic & energetic” group of the Fine Chemical won the second with 45 jumps, and the “advance bravely” group of the Fine Chemical finished the third with 37 jumps.
The general manager, deputy general manager and chairman of the trade union respectively awarded certificates and bonuses to the winning groups as encouragement. The general manager highly praised and affirmed the efforts of the winning groups in this competition, and also encouraged and recognized the active participation of the non-winning group members. Through this competition, the Company increases the active participation of employees and their determination to work together to achieve the company’s goal, and it is expected that everyone will maintain this team spirit and apply the same to our work.

The 8th Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) was held at Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center from August 18 to 20, 2022. Focusing on the “Two Carbon” goal, the exhibition had seven featured-product areas set, such as “Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle”, “New Energy Smart Networking (inclusive of New Energy Vehicles)”, “Parts Procurement and Pairing”, “Warranty/Supply Chain and Terminal Chain Store”, “Supplies and Modification”, “Tire” and “Commercial Vehicles (Smart Logistics and Transport Vehicles)”.
This was the first exhibition attendance of Fine Chemical Department this year. The Company displayed various auto parts as required by the exhibition, especially some gear parts used in new energy motor vehicles, air-conditioning compressor parts, electrical contact parts and products made of Starlite self-developed friction materials, among others. They were all recognized by customers.
During the exhibition, we received a total of approximately 26 enterprises, of which 12 had the intention of further contacting and communicating. On the evening of July 22, 2022, the 4th summer festival was held on the Company's lawn. The participants were only corporate employees due to the influence of the pandemic, and the summer festival was formally started at 18:00 on the day. Traffic safety education and learning campaign for all employees was implemented in July in a move to strengthen the employees’ safety awareness when commuting between the factory site and their home. This traffic safety education was conducted by separating employees into three batches. A police officer of the Zhoushi Traffic Police Squadron was specially invited to give an explanation of traffic-safety related things. He explained the difference between the swept paths of inner wheels when a truck is turning, the driver’s blind spot and the rider’s blind spot, and shared the real cases that happened around us. Each case was broken down in details, and the main reasons for each accident were found out, so that everyone could learn something from these examples for getting inspiration in their future outgoing.
Through this study, all people understand that as a traffic participant, we must abide by traffic laws and regulations, cross the road only at zebra crossings, do not go when in red lights, always pay attention to the surrounding environment at intersections, and fasten the seat belt regardless of whether in the front or rear row when driving / taking a car, so as to take the initiative to command the traffic safety in own hands. Shanghai’s epidemic spread to Kunshan starting from April 2 this year. Kunshan was forced to enter a period of silence, which means that the “pause button” for all the enterprises, entertainment venues and motor vehicle traffics was pressed down starting from April 3, 2022.
During this period, the Company maintained active communication with the local government to master the latest information and obtained the qualification for shipment in a fastest speed on April 14. Some of our customers could pick up goods for their shipments. At the same time, after various negotiations, on April 20 the Company finally obtained the first batch of approvals for closed-loop resumption of work and production in Kunshan City on the basis of making an emergency response plan for epidemic prevention. And only employees lived in the Zhoushi area were allowed to resume work in a closed-loop manner. According to the business requirements, finally a total of 204 employees actively responded to the Company’s call for resumption of work and production by bring their luggage to the factory dormitory to start the work and production resumption on April 21.
During the closed-loop resumption of work and production, the senior officers were accommodated together with employees in the factory, and they led the employees to actively participate in production under the situation that there was a serious shortage of personnel and life there was extremely difficult and inconvenient. At the same time, the employees spontaneously organized and used their free time to cut the grass on the lawn and clean the leaves in the Company, in a bid to create a comfortable and clean environment for everyone as far as possible. All the employees were united as one, preventing and fighting against the epidemic together! In addition, during the closed-loop period, Deputy General Manager Mr. XU personally led the cadres to have regular meetings of various business departments to confirm and share information on the epidemic situation, dormitory life and production safety. Next, we are facing the social issues, such as harm of waste plastics, etc., and we should reduce the burden on the society.
