We said farewell to the extraordinary 2018 and ushered in 2019 that is full of opportunities and challenges. The Company held a New Year Celebration on February 12, with a total of more than 170 people attended, including officials from Zhoushi Town, the Company’s senior officers and those holding L and E positions, and the Company’s employees commended.

At the celebration, Chairman Saigo Takashi delivered his New Year Address. In the speech, he said that in this year, Starlite Group will probe a new generation of business mode, with the “New Step” as its core, and will actively invest operation resources to ensure the future development. This year is the 25 anniversary of the establishment of Starlite Plastic Products (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., and the Company positions this 25th anniversary as the first year of "self-reliance". To realize this "self-reliance", Starlite will, on the basis of fully sharing the philosophy, vision and technology of the Starlite Group, increase investment in safety production and environmental protection, accelerate the upgrading of industries and products, and adhere to establish a good corporate culture and provide good environment, in a bid to make each employee able to play their autonomy and talents.

In his speech, Mr. SHEN, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhoushi Town gave full affirmation and praise to Starlite. In addition, he required Starlite to make persistent efforts, create brilliance and become a model of all enterprises in the town. Subsequently, the employee representatives solemnly promised that they will take the “safety first” as the criterion; improve productivity through the Small Group Improvement Event; make all employees participate in the activity of “reduce costs and increase efficiency” to minimize costs; and promote manufacturing innovation and ensure the achievement of the goals of the Company by bearing the “fine workmanship” in mind. Finally, General Manager Akino required that all the employees shall recognize the grim situation in 2019 and maintain a sense of crisis. On the occasion of this 25th anniversary, the Company shall and will accelerate its transformation and upgrading and make great efforts for the development of Zhoushi Town, Kunshan City and for the Starlite Group!
